The Congregation of Mother of Carmel (C.M.C) is the first Indigenous congregation of India founded in Kerala in the year 1866 by Blessed Chavara Kuriakose Elias and the Italian Carmelite Missionary, Fr.Leopold Boccaro.
We are about 7000 sisters working in the different states of India and now we have extended our fields of services even beyond our mother-land to Europe, America and Africa. Mount Carmel Matriculation School is run by the C.M.C. Sisters who dedicated their lives for the uplift and the wholesome formation of our fellowmen especially women and children. The total formation of the human person has always been the top priority in the educational endeavours of C.M.C.
